NZ Employer Accreditation & Green List – what you must know.

Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV)

We are getting many questions these days about whether the Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV) will make it harder to emigrate to New Zealand and whether only people on the Green List can migrate.

Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV)

Our viewpoint at Migration and Investment is that the AEWV will streamline the process, making it easier for New Zealand businesses to fill positions and employ the right people.  It will also simplify the visa application process and shorten or remove the labour market tests for high-paid roles. This will ensure that migrants have a sense of certainty about the visa process and the employment they will be undertaking in New Zealand.

To get accreditation, employers must meet specific criteria, e.g., to show that they are financially viable and have a credible plan in place to stay viable. This will give applicants more confidence that they will work for a solid company and earn a market-related salary.

Is it true that only people on the Green List can emigrate?

This is not true. The Green List is about making it easier to attract globally-in-demand workers. While a wide range of occupations has made it onto the list, it is not the only pathway available to Residence.
